Building Better Boards

Building Better Boards is a training program designed by Leadership Tallahassee for novice and veteran board members, as well as agency staff/professionals. This year’s program is scheduled for May 4, 2009 at Tallahassee Community College, Economic & Workforce Development. Sessions are informative and include time for discussion and interaction. Building Better Boards is the best opportunity for you and your board members or volunteers to receive valuable training and resource materials.

Opportunity Tallahassee

Opportunity Tallahassee is an intensive, one-day overview of our community. The program is designed to acquaint participants with the physical, social, economic and educational structure of Tallahassee. In addition to meeting and networking with some of the area's key decision-makers, Opportunity Tallahassee participants will be given contacts and resources which will enable them to become more effectively involved in community issues.

The program is targeted at corporate executives, managers and other professionals who may be new to the community and want to know more about the area - - with minimum expenditure of time. It is valuable especially for leaders or potential leaders in the community whose professional commitments have precluded participation in the more time-intensive Leadership Tallahassee program.

Leadership Tallahassee 25th Anniversary Annual Meeting

The LT Annual Meeting will be the final membership luncheon of our Silver Anniversary Year. Invited speakers Rep. Loranne Ausley and Rep. Curtis Richardson (LT Class 5) will update us on the most recent legislative session and just as our organization will be charting our course for our "next 25 years" Reps. Ausley and Richardson, who leave the legislature this year, will share their insights into the future of North Florida and their own role as public servants.  Members present will vote on the 2008-09 slate of officers and board members presented by the Board Development Committee.
