College Leadership Tallahassee

College Leadership Tallahassee (CLT) fosters enhanced awareness and interest in community service among college students to further develop the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to become an effective leader and life-long contributor to their communities. The CLT program is an intensive 3 day program where participants develop and practice leadership skills and gain a more comprehensive awareness of issues concerning the community.

Mission

The mission of College Leadership Tallahassee is to offer college students an educational program where participants make a positive contribution to the community, develop and practice leadership skills, and gain a more comprehensive awareness of issues concerning the community. It is the intention of College Leadership Tallahassee to encourage its graduates to become engaged citizens in whatever community they reside.

Eligibility Requirements

CLT seeks applicants who are:

Undergraduate or graduate students between 18 and 28 years old, enrolled in an accredited college or university, and have completed at least 24 semester hours.
Committed, motivated and interested in community services.

All applicants for CLT Class 2 must complete the application and submit the application materials and photo on or before March 31, 2010.

Commitment

Attendance at all scheduled College Leadership Tallahassee program dates (August 9, 10, 11, 2010), as well as completion of a mutually agreed-upon community service project is mandatory. These projects would be completed during the fall semester, with monthly “Reconnect sessions” during which the participants would gather and share information on their progress.

Deadlines

Completed TYPED application materials and a headshot photograph are due March 31, 2010.

Applicants will be notified by the end of April 2010.
